About Blackboard Vista
Female Television Camera Operator
At MxCC, we offer many fully online courses and also offer support to faculty who would like to use Blackboard Vista in their on-ground courses. Some of our faculty use this as a storage space, in which they post their syllabus, course schedule, assignment details, and lecture notes. Other on ground faculty use the online grade book so that students can log on and know how well they performed on graded assignments. Others use the product to continue on-ground discussions. We will support you in your effort to integrate technology in your on ground course. We will support you in the development of a fully online course. Attend a group training, go over online training, or schedule an individual session. We are available for assistance with both the technological aspects and the curriculum implementation. We are committed to enhancing the teaching and learning in your classroom.

All Blackboard training tutorials and documentation have been organized into an online course entitled "Orientation - Vista Technical Resources for Faculty", and all faculty who are teaching in our system each term are automatically enrolled into this course. Note:  This course also now includes links to Blackboard Vista training manual and tutorials.

To find the link to this resource course for faculty, follow these steps:

  1. Log into myCommNet
  2. Click on the Blackboard Vista icon (upper-right corner). You will see My Blackboard page displayed.
  3. Click on the Blackboard Vista Orientation and Faculty Resources.
  4. Click on the Blackboard Vista Training Documentation and Tutorials link.

When you launch this course, on the home page you will find links to an index of tutorials and documentation, to the downloadable faculty training manual documents in MS Word format, and to many other resources for instructors.

If you do NOT see the link to this course in your My Blackboard course list, please be sure that you have not hidden it in your course list. If you check and it's not hidden, please email Tobi Krutt.
