MxCC's Preschool and Lab School fulfills many purposes. The MxCC Preschool and Lab School serves the community by offering high quality childcare programs that foster children's development. As a School Readiness center for the city of Middletown the MxCC Preschool and Lab School provides high quality affordablepreschool experiences to low and moderate income families from Middletown. We also offer high quality childcare for the children of MxCC students, faculty and staff. Finally the MxCC Preschool and Lab School serves as an on campus laboratory for students planning for careers in Early Childhood Education and Human Services.

Each child enrolled in the MxCC Preschool and Lab School is assigned to a teaching team that is primarily responsible for meeting that child's needs.

Children are encouraged to make choices and to participate in both self initiated activities and more structured planned ones. The classroom environment is welcoming, stimulating and challenging.
