Subject:  Orientation Sessions For MAT 137, MAT 168 and MAT 173 Spring Online Courses—Please Read!

To all MAT 137, MAT 168 and MAT 173 Spring ONLINE Students: 

We will be holding two orientations on campus for students registered for online MAT 137, MAT 168 and MAT 173.  You will find the dates and times of these sessions below.  You may attend EITHER of the sessions. These sessions are designed to get everyone set up and comfortable using Blackboard and MyLab/Mastering.  In the past, there have been MANY students having difficulty getting started during the first week of classes.  It is our expectation that you are starting with material on day one of class.  Therefore, any technical issues need to be resolved before the first day of class.  This is our main reason for setting up these sessions.  Although it is not mandatory that you attend a session, we strongly encourage you to attend one.  We think you will find that the first week of class will be much less stressful if you do.  If you choose not to attend one of these sessions, please log onto Blackboard any time after January 6 to start reviewing course materials so that you are ready to start on January 20. 

***Please bring the following with you to the orientation session:

-Textbook

-Access Code for MyLab/Mastering (you should have purchased this with your book)

-Banner ID and password (you will be logging in during the session)
