“KAOLIN,”
Photographs by Robin Dana
March 8 - May 1
Closing Reception: Thursday, May 1st, 3:30-5:30 pm
Robin Dana’s three-year research project constructs an unexpected gaze upon the kaolin mining sites of central Georgia. This photographic series transmits a dicotomy of sublime environmental transformation and momentary beauty contained in stagnant pools, fractured earth, and subtle indicators of industrial trace. Individual images reveal color rich compositions that encompass and transcend base social, political and ecological dialogs linked with mining industries.
