Force Submission or Reset Student Attempt

During the exam available time period, a student reported to you that he or she has started the exam and saved all or some answers but had difficulty submitting the exam. Here is what you should do

1. Check the number of exam answers the student has saved.
a. In Teach Tab, click Assessments. Click Not Submitted tab.

b. In the same row of the student who had problem, you will see under Status column, it indicates "In Progress". Click View Attempt 1 under Attempt column for this student. Check to see if all the answers have been saved. The gray mark on the left to an answer is the student answer, while the green mark on the right of an answer is the correct answer. If all the answers have been saved, you only need to click Force Submission to submit the exam answers for the student.

2. Reset the Attempt
For student who did not save or just saved a few answers to the questions, you should reset the attempt for the student, so he or she can retake the exam. To do this, click Reset Attempt. Reset Attempt will erase all answers student has saved and allows the student to retake the exam. However, if the student has saved most of answers with only a few answers missed out, you may ask the student to email you the answers that are not saved.
