Post Discussion Questions

Posting the discussion questions with the following instruction allows the questions kept on the Discussion Board when the course is copied over to the upcoming semester. So, you don't need to post the same questions every semester.

Step 1. Create a Discussion Topic
If you have already created the weekly discussion topics on the Discussion Board such as "Week1 Discussions" or "Session 1 Discussions", skip this step and go to Step 2.

a. In Teach tab, go to the Discussions by clicking the Discussions icon . For the MxCC online or on-ground class template, the Discussions is placed the third on the course toolbar (upper right corner).

b. Click Create Topic button.

Step 2. Enter the discussion questions and discussion settings.

Enter the Title of the discussion topic, such as Week 1 Discussions. Enter the questions in the Description box. If the discussion counts toward the final grade, check the Topic is Gradable box. Enter a max point. If you allow students to edit a posted message, check Editable Posts box. Click Save.
