A Special Registration Procedure

This procedure applies to new or readmit students who are not able to travel to our campuses to complete the admission to the college and register an online class. You first need to apply for the college and then register a class. It may take TWO full weeks to complete the procedure and have you registered to an online class. Act Early! The cutoff date for our assistance with special accommodations for Summer 2008 classes is June 13th, 2008 and is Friday, August 22nd, 2008. Please note that you must have all of the following steps completed in order for us to register you:

Step 1 . Obtain two forms for admission and registration.

(1) Admission Application Form. Click here to download the Admission Application form

(2) Registration Form. Request a registration form sent to you by emailing mxccedtech@gmail.com.
In your message, write your full name, phone number (day time), mailing address, the online courses (course number and title), and the semester you would like to register.

Step 2. Submit the two forms with necessary documentation to TWO different offices.

(1). Admission Form. Follow the instruction on the form and fill it out with your credit card information for $20 application fee*. Mail or FAX (860-344-3055) the form with other required documents to MxCC Admission's Office, 100 Training Hill Road, Middletown, CT 06457.

a. If your purpose is to take at least one online class without seeking a degree, write Non-Degree in Degree Status to speed up the admission's application process.
b. If you are students from other CT community Colleges, you will be waived of $20 application fee. Note on the application form that you request to have the $20 waived.

*You may send a check or money order of the $20 application fee.

(2). Registration Form. Fill out the registration form, write down your valid email address and sign it. Mail the form with necessary documentation* (e.g. proof of prerequisites) to MxCC Distance Learning Office, 100 Training Hill Road, Middletown, CT 06457.
*Some online classes have prerequisites. Click here to access the class list of a semester with prerequisite information. You may email your unofficial transcript for proof of prerequisites to mxccedtech@gmail.com

After you mail the registration form, you may notify the Distance Learning Office at mxccedtech@gmail.com.

Step 3. In about 7 - 10 working days, you will be notified by email after the registration is completed. Visit www.mxcc.commnet.edu/distance, click What to Do (upper left) to see how to get started.
