Scan a File for Viruses

Before attaching a file to a mail message (or a discussion posting), you MUST make sure that the file is not infected with viruses.

1. You might want to minimize the message window and Blackboard window first.
2. Locate the file by double-clicking My Documents (or navigate to where you saved the file). Double-click the file folder.
3. Right-click the file you'd like to attach and select "Scan for Viruses."
4. It is safe to attach the file only after you see a message indicating that no infected items were found.
