Read and Reply to a Discussion Message

When there is a new message posted on the Discussion Board, you are notified on the My Blackboard page. When you enter the Homepage, you see a green star by the Discussions icon .

1. To read a message, click (located in Course Tools at upper-left).
2. Click on a topic name to enter that specific topic discussion board. You will see the the message threads with Subject, Messages, Author, and Date.
3. Click on the to show all messages in the thread.
4. To reply to a message, click on Reply (underneath the message) to open the message window.
5. Type your message.
6. Before posting, you can use Preview to review the message.
7. When you are ready, click on Post. Your new message will be placed in the same thread of the initial message.
