Post a Discussion Message to Start a Thread

Here is how to post a message to start a new thread.

1. Enter the discussion board by clicking the Discussions icon (located in Course Tools).
2. Enter a discussion topic board by clicking the topic name.
3. Click Create Message to open the message window.
4. Enter the message subject in the Subject box.
5. Type the message in the Message box.
6. Before posting, you can review the message by clicking Preview.
7. When you are ready, click Post. Your message will be displayed as the first message on the discussion board.
8. To read the message you just posted, click the Subject of the message.
