Students at graduation

All online classes and some on-ground classes at Middlesex Community College use WebCT Vista. Each semester, all credit courses are given a WebCT Vista course site to ehance teaching and learning. Upon registration, students are automatically enrolled into that WebCT course site.

WebCT Vista 3 we are currently using will be upgraded to Blackboard Vista 4 starting Summer I, May 20. Click here for more information about the transition. Blackboard Vista demo and training sessions will be provided in May and throughout summer. Click here for training information.

myCommNet

You log in to WebCT Vista with exactly the same procedure as students.

2. Go to my.commnet.edu.
3. Enter your NetID and password, click Login.

NetID : BannerID@mxcc.commet.edu* Click here for more information about a faculty/staff NetID.

Password: The same password to log on to a campus computer at any of 12 Connecticut community colleges or check college email via Outlook Web Access at www.mail.commnet.edu.

If you have never logged on to a campus computer or check college email from off-campus, use the initial password, which is combination of your first 3 letters of birth month (capitalize the first letter) and last four digits of your Social Security Number.

For example, if you were born in April and the last four digits of your social security number are 4575, then your initial password is Apr&4575 (case sensitive).

After you logon with the initial password, you will be prompted to change to a new password.  The new password MUST have 8 or more characters and satisfy 3 of the 4 rules as follows:

  • Upper case
  • Lower case
  • Numbers
  • Special character

One example of a new password is Flower07 (case sensitive). Remember; do not use your name or birthday in the new password.

Click here for more information about NetID and password.
