Middlesex has two NEW transfer programs with the University of Connecticut.
GAP – The Guaranteed Admission Program
The GAP program is an agreement between the Connecticut Community Colleges and the University of Connecticut that guarantees admission to UConn’s College of Liberal Arts & Sciences. (http://www.services.clas.uconn.edu/index_files/majors.htm) To be eligible for the GAP program, students must have earned 15 credits (or fewer) at Middlesex and be enrolled in our Liberal Arts & Science degree program. To find out more about GAP, or to sign up for the program, see Gail Russell in the CD&CC.
Business & Technology Transfer Pathway Program
Students who participate in the Business & Technology Transfer Pathway Program are guaranteed admission into the Business & Technology (BSBT) major within the University of Connecticut’s School of Business. Students in the program must complete their Associate Degree in Business Administration from MxCC before transferring to UConn. The BSBT major http://www.business.uconn.edu/cms/p281 is only offered at the Tri-Campus (Waterbury, Hartford or Torrington) and Stamford Campus locations. For more information about this program, contact the CD&CC or the Business Administration Department at Middlesex.
What if MxCC does not offer my career of choice? Even if your career choice is not available at MxCC, you can still start your career training with us. Besides our core curriculum of allied health degree and certificate programs, we offer a comprehensive curriculum of General Education courses and other courses that might be applicable for transfer.
A percentage of General Education and elective credits are necessary to complete the requirements for any academic degree. We also offer many “Gen Ed” credits needed to complete a certificate program.
