Frequently Asked Questions

Studies show that more than 3000 students annually transfer from a community college to
continue their studies at private and public two-year and four-year colleges and universities. With
proper planning, Middlesex students can transfer credits to most public and private colleges and
universities both in and out of Connecticut.

Middlesex Community College and the Connecticut Community College system offer many transfer articulation agreements with public and private colleges and universities help students to realize these goals.

We have established a guaranteed admissions agreement with the University of Connecticut that guarantees places for community college transfer students who have maintained a 3.0 average while obtaining an associate’s degree in liberal arts and sciences. Transfer agreements with the other Connecticut State Universities also assure third year status for community college transfer students who choose an established transfer curriculum.

Because requirements of each institution vary, students planning to transfer should confer with the Program Coordinator or their academic advisor to ensure proper course selection.
