All real estate courses for licensure and continuing education are recognized by the Real Estate Consortium of Community Colleges of Connecticut and approved and filed with the State of Connecticut Real Estate Commission. This course meets the minimum requirements of the Connecticut Real Estate Commission.

Principles and Practices of Real Estate

All prospective Licensed Real Estate Sales Executives start their journey with this beginning course. It is designed to provide the student with the basic knowledge necessary to pass all requirements and succeed in the field. The course covers the concepts of home ownership and the influences of governmental regulation. Students are introduced to various real estate contracts and the law of agency. A comprehensive review of all pertinent topics such as taxes and liens, license laws, property valuation, fair housing, and real estate math are covered. The course consists of 66 hours of instruction including tests. Texts are required for this course and can be purchased directly through the college bookstore for approximately $85. Please bring the CRN and course title to the college bookstore when purchasing. This program generally meets 2 night/week from 6:00 - 10:00 pm for approximately 8 weeks.
