The Mathematics Division: Points of Pride

• Faculty volunteer regularly in the College Learning Center
• We have had winners of Merit Awards and Teaching Excellence Awards
• Select faculty members have chaired college committees or College Council and have served on the MATYCONN Board, ATOMIC Board, Science Fair Board, executive boards of community organizations, etc.
• Many faculty members have served on systemwide committees: Math Issues, MBSCC, Center For Teaching.  
• Mathematics Professor Alice Burstein has coordinated several system-wide programs, including the Barnes Seminar, Spirit of Teaching, Teaching Partners, Pathways. She has also chaired the systemwide Center For Teaching.
• Professor Burstein is also a recognized PIMMS Fellow.
