Minimum Qualifications:
Associates Degree in accounting or related field. One year of experience working with QuickBooks, DonorPerfect, preferably in a secondary or a college environment. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Suite and e-mail as well as the ability to analyze and gather data utilizing an Excel database. Prepare financial reports and maintain records of donor files.

Exceptions to the degree requirements may be made for compelling reasons.
Responsibilities:
Office management responsibilities which include processing donations and bank deposits; preparing donor gift acknowledgements with receipts; entry, update and maintenance of donor records (both electronic and hard copy); prepare financial reports.
Attendance at all Middlesex Community College Foundation events and meetings (including evenings and weekends); execution of gift entry from beginning to end; maintenance of accurate donor records (gifts, donor lists including email addresses and other contact information, etc.); execution of communication plan elements such as mail merges for fundraising campaigns; supporting the Foundation audit and board of directors to include preparation and delivery of reports; provide assistance to Foundation officers, board members, and college administrators as needed; establish and maintain relationships with donors, Foundation board members. Some travel to the shoreline and Meriden Center is required.
Salary:
$21.54 per hour, 17 hours a week including some evening and weekend hours, no benefits

Part-Time Evening Lectures for the Foreighn Languages Department are Needed for Teaching Spanish Credit Courses in Fall '11 Semester:
SPA*101, Elementary Spanish I, 3 Credits, Tuesday and Thursday, 5:30-6:50 PM
Fundamentals of grammar with emphasis on the development of speaking, listening, and writing skills. Students must concurrently enroll in SPA*105.
SPA*105, Elementary Conversational Spanish I, 1 Credit, Thursday, 7:00-8:00 PM
Development of conversational proficiency with emphasis on dialogues including a wide range of vocabulary necessary for general conversation. Dialogues and oral practice are correlated with grammar covered in the three-credit SPA*101 course.
Part-Time Lecturers for the English Department are Needed for Teaching Credit Courses in Fall '11 Semester for the Following Areas:
ENG101 Composition, 3 Credits
Practice in writing for college: delivering research material, creating sound argument, expressing the relationship of self to surrounding. A research paper is required. Readings included. Placement according to test scores or grade of C or better in ENG 063 and 073 (unless reading exempt).
Developmental Writing
ENG013 Foundations of Writing, 3 Credits
Enables students to capture thoughts in complete, correct sentences. Intensive work in the structure of clauses, spelling, vocabulary. Paragraph and essay writing focused. Readings included. Placement according to test scores. Credit does not count toward meeting degree requirements.
ENG063 Intro to Essay, 3 Credits
Leads students from the paragraph to the essay. Focus on how to develop a thesis, maintain coherence, develop evidence. Instruction in grammar and punctuation. Readings included. Placement according to test scores or completion of English 013. Credit does not count toward meeting degree requirements.
Developmental Reading
ENG003 Foundations of Reading, 3 Credits
Enables students to develop practical and college reading skills. Emphasis placed on reading comprehension and learning techniques. Placement according to test scores. Credit does not count toward meeting degree requirements.
ENG073 Academic Reading, 3 Credits
Designed to improve textbook comprehension in all of the content areas. Emphasis placed on specific skills that facilitatebetter learning: determining main ideas, differentiating between primary and secondary details, identifying organizationalpatterns, and summarizing and paraphrasing. Placement according to test scores or completion of ENG003. Credit does not count toward meeting degree requirements.
Part-Time Lecturers for the Science Division are Needed for Teaching Credit Courses in Fall '11 Semester:
CHE*111 Concepts of Chemistry, 4 Credits, Monday and Wednesday 5:00-7:50PM
An introduction to inorganic chemistry. Topics include atomic structure, bonding, nomenclature, gases, solutions, equilibrium, nuclear chemistry, and acids & bases. Two and a half hours of class and three hours of laboratory each week.
CHE*112 Principles of Organic and Biochemistry, 4 Credits. Monday and Wednesday 12:30-3:20 PM
An introduction to organic and biochemistry. Topics will include the major organic functional groups, carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, nucleic acids, as well as glycolysis, Krebs cycle, electron transport, protein synthesis, and DNA/RNA. Three hours of class and three hours of laboratory each week.
BIO*105 Introduction to Biology, 4 Credits, Monday and Wednesday 8:00-9:20 AM (lecture) and Wednesday 12:30-3:20 PM (lab)
A course for non-science majors. Topics covered include cell biology, diversity, biotechnology, basic chemistry, cellular respiration and photosynthesis, ecology, genetics, behavior, and evolution. Labs may involve dissection of plant and animal specimens, microscope work, and elementary biochemistry experiments. This course in recommended for students who do not need a full year of laboratory biology. Lecture: 3 hours per week. Laboratory: 3 hours per week.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications for the positions are a Master's degree in the related field and preferably 2 years of teaching experience in such discipline at the college level. Applicants who do not meet the minimum qualifications as stated must put in writing precisely how their experience has prepared them for the responsibilities of the position.
Minimum Salary:
$1,335 per contact credit hour
