Computer-Aided Drafting/ Computer-Aided Manufacturing is essential in helping students entering the field of technology and in particular manufacturing technology. CAD/CAM software uses CAD drawing tools to describe geometries and CAM tools to direct the motion of a machine tool to machine the exact shape that was drawn. This course teaches students terminology used in the manufacturing industry and familiarizes students with MasterCAM software, an industry standard. This introductory course familiarizes the student with CNC milling and turning operations.   A text is required for this course and can be purchased through our college bookstore. Please bring the CRN and course title to the college bookstore when purchasing.
