Courses offered
within the Humanities Division are designed to satisfy prerequisites –
and they also satisfy student curiosity as we bring you many options for
general education coursework.
“The division is so
diverse. We have so many different disciplines and viewpoints and
perspectives as we synergize to bring students the widest selection of
courses and prepare them for success as they complete degree and
non-degree granting programs,” says Division Chair and Professor Joan
Donati. “We’re helping a great number of students who are planning to go
to a four-year college.”
A majority of students in
the Humanities Division go on to state universities from their programs
at Middlesex.
“The opportunities here are great, and
so are the opportunities for good scholarships,” she said. “Most people
are learning they do need a degree: A high school education isn’t going
to do much for career preparation anymore and that’s where we help our
students as they plan to move forward.”
