Drawing and Painting (All Levels)
A fine-arts class for all levels – beginners to advanced – designed to help busy adults learn a medium and subject of their choice in a relaxed, enriching environment. Set your own pace and learn the principles of light and shade, correct perspective, and proportion using pencil, pen, or charcoal. Then paint with oils or acrylics on canvas boards or stretched canvas, using impasto or other effects. Students may choose their own subject and medium in a class designed to provide individual instruction and help towards meeting your individual goals. Topics include still life, portraits, landscapes, abstract subjects, and the use of related materials like glossy and mats, modeling paste, extenders, and various oil mediums will be explored. Beginners, intermediate, and advanced painters are all welcome as the instruction will be customized to meet individual need. Ms. Talpade has been exhibiting her work for 20 years and has taught art for the past 9 years. *Note: Students must purchase their own materials. A materials list is given out at the first class. Expected materials’ cost is under $80.
