-Reading Comp. ≥ 83

*English SAT scores: a score of 450 on either the Critical Reading OR Writing portion of the SAT will place the student into English 101.

-Math 137 Elem. Algebra ≥ 54 and ≤ 64 OR
-Elem. Algebra > 66 and CLM < 40

-Math 168 and Math 173 Elem. Algebra > 66 and 40 ≤ CLM <60

-Math 186 Elem. Algebra > 66 and 60 ≤ CLM <80

-Math 254 Elem. Algebra > 66 and CLM ≥ 80

EA = Elementary Algebra
CLM = College Level Math


*Math SAT scores: a score of 500 will place the student into Math 137, and a score of 550 will place the student into Math 168 or Math 173. We strongly encourage these students take the placement test since they may place into a higher course.

*If placement is ESL exempt, an essay is administered to determine placement in either
Eng. 063 or placement in ESL 173/175.
